The selected candidate(s) will join Customer Engineering as an Account Manager and work with their manager to define a professional development roadmap for a Level 5 work statement. The following roles in Customer Engineering are examples that offer opportunities to accomplish a Level 5 work statement, and are filled through a competitive, internal selection process. After joining the Customer Engineering function, the selected candidate(s) may be placed into one of the roles below.Model Manager: Act as a technical focal to program leadership in configuration management, customer focus, program strategy, and customer engineering knowledge.Lead the investigation and development of solutions to emergent, routine, and sustaining program issues and influence solutions to multidisciplinary program-level issues.Resolve and remove technical, procedural, and inter-organizational roadblocks that arise during all stages of airplane configuration development from pre-proposal to delivery.Lead Account Manager: Lead a team of Account Managers, who are the primary technical interface between customers and Boeing Commercial Airplanes responsible for defining the contractual airplane configuration. In this position, one will establish, maintain and oversee Account Manager relationships with airplane customers and guide them through the development, management, and delivery of their airplane configuration.Develop and mentor Account Managers in your workgroup.Proactively advise, assist and check work products as appropriate.Coordinate and resolve cross-model and significant issues with Sales, Contracts, Marketing, Programs, Engineering, and Customer.These issues may relate to seats, galleys, lavatories, in-flight entertainment, connectivity options, flight deck avionics, monuments, cargo systems, lights, etc. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required.  “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.15 or more years’ related work experience.Ability to travel both domestically and internationally. (Approximately 10% of the time.Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Master’s degree in engineering or related field.15 or more years of engineering experience in Boeing Commercial Airplanes.Prior experience with the BCA Customer Engineering organization.Typical Education & Experience:Senior: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9, Master+12 years' related work experience).
