Job Goal:
To assist students in the effective use of critical thinking skills tied to science, technology, engineering and math.
Qualifications:
- 1. DESE issued substitute teacher certificate, sixty college credit hours, or completion of the Para-Pro Assessment Test
- Experience in use of technology preferred
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: - Create lesson plans centered around critical thinking and problem solving while using the content areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
- Collaborate with fellow staff members in elementary elective areas (PE, Music, Art, Library and other district STEM lab educators).
- Conduct learning experiences with groups of children.
- Participate in inservice training as assigned.
- Maintain the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as is expected of teachers.
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Perform other appropriate duties as assigned.
