**Description:**

The purpose of this position is to assist Mercy College of Health Sciences' students with specialized instruction in their areas of expertise.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**

+ Assists students on a one-to-one or small-group basis to provide learning assistance.

+ Collaborates with instructors to assess the students' needs and how best to address them.

+ Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

**MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED** **:**

+ Completion of a particular course in which assisting is being done with earning at least a B from a higher education institution.

+ Strong interpersonal communication skills and ease in relating to people from varying educational, cultural, and social backgrounds.

+ Strong level of responsibility, reliability, and punctuality.

+ A copy of **unofficial** transcripts must be uploaded with application.
