Responsibilities

As an Infusion RN, your primary responsibilities will include

  • Administering infusion treatments, including chemotherapy and biotherapy, to patients in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
  • Monitoring patients throughout treatment, assessing their condition, and responding to any adverse reactions or complications.
  • Providing education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans, potential side effects, and post-treatment care.
  • Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Maintaining accurate, detailed reports and records, and ensuring all documentation is completed in a timely, efficient manner.
  • Adhering to all safety and infection control standards to ensure a safe, clean environment for patients and staff.
  • Participating in ongoing professional development activities to stay current with the latest advancements in infusion therapy.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse license in good standing.
  • Minimum of two years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with specific experience in infusion therapy.
  • Proficiency in administering chemotherapy and biotherapy treatments.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high-quality patient care, with a strong focus on patient safety and satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make quick, accurate decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with chemotherapy administration is highly preferred.
