M Health Fairview is looking for a Health Unit Coordinator/Monitor Technician at St. John's Hospital in Maplewood, MN. This position is 40 hours per two weeks on the Day shift, 8 hour shifts, every other weekend, and is eligible for benefits such as: PTO, dental/medical insurance, and more. About this Position:
Observes cardiac monitors, detecting and reporting abnormalities that may occur in the patients EKG status.
Responsibilities/Job Description
* Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations and policies, procedures and standards
* Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements to achieve clinical, satisfaction and/or efficiency outcomes
* Observes the cardiac monitors and analyzes, records, and documents the rhythm status for each monitored patient
* Communicates information regarding rhythm status, problems, concerns, etc to the RN, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary team, as appropriate
* Participates in meeting unit goals and objectives
* Performs clerical duties as delegated by the Clinical Director or Charge Nurse
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
* Less than 1 year experience of Transcription/Unit Coordinator experience required
Preferred Qualifications:
* 1 year EKG/Monitor Tech experience
Other Required Skills:
* Attention to Detail: Achieves thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task
* Computer Skills Basic: Ability to use a computer and applications that are associated with performing basic work tasks (use a mouse, navigate in Windows, Outlook, etc)
* Interpersonal Communication: Skilled in developing effective rapport with customers, co-workers, or families, actively listening to develop a positive connection
* Organization: Effective management of projects, deadlines, and work load prioritizing; putting things together in an orderly and functional whole
* Patient Care Delivery: Observes and collects pertinent data and/or clinical findings to enhance patient outcomes
