POSITION SUMMARY:

The Players Club Clerk, under the direction of the Players Club Supervisor or Shift Manager/Director of Player Development, is responsible for greeting customers, promoting, enrolling, and explaining the benefits of the Player's Club Program to Casino patrons/customers. The Players Club Clerk provides attentive, cheerful, and professional service to all customers, both internal and external, always striving to exceed their expectations and provide excellent customer service.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (includes, but is not limited to, the following)

* Inputs and updates player information on a daily basis into a player-tracking computer database.
* Distributes coupons, packages, and Kewadin Credits to hotel guests, bus groups, and Casino patrons/customers.
* Assists with the daily operation of the weekly promotions, such as random player picks, announcing winners' names, giving out prizes, and overall running the weekly/daily promotion.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (includes, but is not limited to, the following)

* Complies with all Company and departmental policies and procedures.
* Attends required meetings and training.
* Keeps up-to-date and provides customers with information on Casino wide promotions and entertainment information.
* All other job-related duties as assigned.

CONTACTS:

Immediate peers, peers in other departments, immediate supervisor/manager, managers in other departments, and customers.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Position sedentary with primarily sitting/lifting of a maximum of 10 pounds. Physical factors include constant typing; frequent standing, sitting, use of near vision, typing, and hearing, and occasional walking. Working conditions include frequent exposure to noise, air quality, and dimly lit conditions. Potential hazards include frequent client contact and infectious exposure.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience: N/A

Certification/License: Must have completed and passed Criminal background investigation done under the rules of the National Indian Gaming Commission. Will be required to complete and pass pre-employment drug testing.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must have knowledge of or have the ability to learn about the Northern Rewards Club and the benefits of being a member, and the importance of the customer using their card. Must know the location of or have the ability to learn the location of all departments within the Casino and Hotel complex. Must know details of or have the ability to learn about all Casino promotions and Entertainment. Must have knowledge of or have the ability to learn details about the city, places to stay, eat and shop or special events. Must have knowledge of or have the ability to learn of the benefits of Direct Mail and Comping/Point System. Must have working knowledge and be able to use word processing and spreadsheet and database software. Must have excellent communication skills and be able to communicate clearly in person, in writing, and by telephone and email. Must be flexible and available to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with supervisory personnel, coworkers, and the general public. Must be able to work extended hours when needed. Native American preferred.
