Job Overview:

The Endoscopy Technician is a caregiver who assists the Endoscopy team during endoscopy procedures and assists in the preparation of the suite area between cases.

Qualifications:

Required:

* High school graduate or equivalent,
* Additional experience required based upon specific department needs,
* Hazards include risk of exposure to communicable disease and risk of physical injury from lifting patients and operation of equipment,

Preferred:

Certifications and Licenses Required (if applicable):

* Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.

Scheduling Requirements (non-exempt positions):

* Varies
* Days
* Per Diem

Essential Functions:

* The Endoscopy Technician is a caregiver who assists the Endoscopy team during endoscopy procedures and assists in the preparation of the suite area between cases
* The Endoscopy Tech understands the principles of asepsis and basic instrumentation
* He/she works under the direct supervision of the RN
