Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Recruitment and Events Manager, the Recruiter will have a significant impact on the goals of the organization by hiring qualified people to work directly with individuals served by Open Sky. This person will be responsible for full cycle recruiting, including sourcing (in collaboration with the Recruitment & Sourcing Specialist), screening, interviewing, and hiring employees at all levels the agency. We seek candidates who are motivated by matching talented people to the right opportunities and a meaningful career. Work is performed with a high level of independence, but collaboration and the ability to work as part of a team is necessary for this role.

Remote flexibility is available but at times this position will be required to be in office. Therefore, candidates must live within a commutable distance of Worcester, MA.

Other Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with the Recruitment team to establish and/or maintain a candidate profile for each position and matches candidates to available opportunities.
  • Works in partnership with the Recruitment & Sourcing Specialist to establish candidate pipelines and source candidates directly as needed.
  • Initiates the screening process for applicants via phone/video chat and submits successful candidates to Hiring Managers for consideration. Conducts additional in-person interviews before submittal as needed.
  • Confirms eligibility and additional requirements for internal transfers and promotions.
  • Ensures relevant documentation is maintained in the recruitment database.
  • Ensures all applicants are processed thoroughly and in a timely manner.
  • Assists with recruitment events and planning as needed.
  • Reports on recruitment metrics and updates as requested.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferred; may be substituted with alternative education and/or related experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in recruiting, human resources, and/or non-profit human services, required.
  • Must be flexible, have excellent time management skills, and be able to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • High degree of professionalism and excellent customer service skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and web-based applications.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems such as iCIMS, highly desired.
