Salary: $47,545 - $77,908 Annually (Dependent on Qualifications)

ATTENDANCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS: Non rotating 40 hour work week, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Must be available to work additional hours as needed.

Responsibilities

Performs internal comprehensive compliance investigations to ensure that the City of Corpus Christi Utilities Department is in full compliance with state and federal regulations; Performs regulatory analysis and research on environmental issues of concern for the Utilities Department; Executes projects and strategies developed by the Water Quality Manager or the designee; Performs field data collection and data capture for further trend analysis; Leads the internal comprehensive compliance investigation team following guidelines developed by the Water Quality Manager; Oversees projects, performs field analysis of water quality parameters of concern and develops water quality protocols under the supervision of the Water Quality Manager; Completes inventory, ordering and stocking of supplies and inventory; Creates reports and disseminates information to clients; Delivers professional internal/external customer service; Creates and maintains databases and spreadsheets along with completing data entry related to water quality or other data; Processes documentation and paperwork as required according to departmental procedures; Performs data trending analysis of water quality data for the Wastewater Treatment Plan Process Optimization program for the City of Corpus Christi; Initiates, coordinates and manages projects to ensure compliance with TCEQ regulations while protecting health and human safety; May be asked to perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Position requires Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three (3) years of experience. A combination of education and pertinent experience may be considered. Must obtain a Class D wastewater operator license within six (6) months of hire. A valid driver's license is required. Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire.

Application review and the City may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.

Selected applicants must be able to pass a background investigation and a pre-employment drug test.

Any position that lists a minimum qualification for education level and/or license/certification will require the applicant to provide proof of documentation if selected for hire into the position with the City of Corpus Christi.

This position is classified as "Safety Sensitive". All employees in safety sensitive positions are subject to random drug testing, pursuant to City policy, HR 15.0 Alcohol and Drug Abuse.
