Our prestigious healthcare organization is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse. This position offers a unique opportunity to work directly with patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics, in a community health setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing top-quality patient care, a strong understanding of primary care principles, and the ability to communicate effectively in a multilingual environment.
Responsibilities
As a Registered Nurse in our Primary Care Outpatient Medicine department, your responsibilities will include
- Providing comprehensive nursing care to patients within the outpatient setting, focusing on health maintenance, disease prevention, patient education, and counseling.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate patient care in consultation with patients and their families.
- Performing initial patient screenings and patient history and physical examinations.
- Updating patient records and check vital signs.
- Coordinating with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.
- Monitoring, recording, and reporting symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
- Operating and monitoring medical equipment necessary for patient care.
- Assisting patients with managing chronic and acute health conditions.
- Providing health promotion, counseling, and education to patients and their families on disease prevention and health maintenance.
- Demonstrating cultural competence in caring for patients with diverse language, culture, and socio-economic backgrounds.
The ideal candidate for the Registered Nurse position should possess the following qualifications
- A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in primary care, pediatrics, or geriatrics.
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Bilingual or multilingual skills are highly preferred to cater to our diverse patient population.
- Proven experience in community health settings.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong clinical skills with an emphasis on preventative health care and chronic disease management.
- Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) systems and clinical software.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as necessary.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
