The Lead Systems Engineer will work with systems engineers, program managers, and technical subject matter experts to plan and execute technology demonstration, system development testing, operational testing, operational assessment, and other T&E related activities
Responsibilities
• Leads technical activities and directs the engineering technical management team in providing systems engineering activities to support the system acquisition and sustainment life cycle.

• Coordinates with government and team members to formulate, review, and execute technical requirements and engineering related task plans, studies, analyses, reports, and deliverable items.
• Manages technical deliverables and ensures timely and quality delivery of products and services, mitigates risks, and executes corrective actions.
• Develops and leads strategic effort for the organization to increase efficiencies, quality, and transparency; while deducing time, risk, and burden of tasks
Mentors, trains, and guides the engineering team to grow their technical and organizational knowledge.
• Advises on all SELC activities and guides Digital Transformation and Innovation strategies
Organizes, directs, and manages technical support functions involving multiple, complex, and interrelated project tasks.
• Communicates at senior levels within a customer organization and meets with customer and contractor personnel to formulate, review, and execute technical requirements and engineering-related task plans, studies, analyses, reports, and deliverable items.
• Experience with tools such as Clarity PPM, SharePoint, CDRL Review Tool, CMPro, eGIS, Power BI Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in related field with 18 years of experience or master's degree in related field with 13 years of experience or PhD with 10 years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and or experience in a related field.
• Experience in developing and executing T&E strategy and plans in support of large, complex programs.
• Knowledge of DHS or DoD acquisition life cycle framework and systems engineering life cycle framework
• Strong problem-solving skills, organizational skills, communication skills, and leadership skills
• Self-motivated, proactive, independent performer who can perform well in a collaborative, team environment.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills along with customer interaction and presentation capabilities.
• Must exemplify a dedication to achieving the mission of the customer as well as high standards of quality and excellence in performing individual duties.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while being able to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines.
• Ability to pass a government background investigation, including financial, criminal, residential, educational, foreign affiliation, prohibited substance abuse, and employment verifications; active U.S
Customs and Border Protection background investigation preferred
