PATIENT ACCESS REPRESENTATIVES

Compensation: $17-18/hr
Onsite - Vaccine Required Core Responsibilities:
- Greeting customers and providing world-class customer service.
- Complete full patient registration at date of service and thoroughly explains and secures Hospital & patient legal forms if needed.
- Create and file patient information packets/folders for upcoming Hospital services.
- Assist with scheduling diagnostic procedures (enters data in scheduling system, provide customer with appointment instructions, other tasks as needed).
- Educate patients about patient financial liabilities
- Verify insurance, benefits, coverage & eligibility
- Complete assigned registration financial clearance work lists activities
- Obtain insurance authorizations for scheduled & unscheduled Hospital services, and secures inpatient visit notification to payors.
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating post discharge care for patients.
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1 year in a Customer Service role
- EPIC experience is preferred but not required
- Course in Medical Terminology required
- Minimum typing skills of 30 wpm
