+ **Schedule:** Multiple Shifts available, 40 hours per week

+ **Hospital:** Multiple Ascension acute care hospitals

+ **Location:** requires travel to various locations more than 50 miles away from primary residence

This position is a permanent, full time position made up of travel assignments -not a short term option or temporary contract. Rates may vary by location and specialty.

**Responsibilities**

Facilitate the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.

+ Prepare surgical operating suite with sterile drapes and sterile solutions as well as appropriate sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies.

+ Hand required/requested instruments and supplies to surgeon during surgery.

+ Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.

+ Maintain instruments in an organized manner and monitor/track instrument counts throughout procedures.

**Requirements**

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

+ Required Credentials:- BLS Provider obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.- Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting(NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

+ High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degreerequired.

Work Experience:

+ None required.

**Additional Preferences**

Additional Preferences:

+ One year of **recent** experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist

+ Travelers must be willing to travel 50+ miles from permanent residence.

+ Travel positions require travel to multiple locations and could include assignment selections in: Alabama, Illinois, Florida, Indiana, Kansas, Maryland, Michigan, New York, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas and Wisconsin
