POSITION SUMMARY Major responsibility includes accurate administration of ionizing radiation to a prescribed area according to the prescribed dose. Educates and informs patients and their families about aspects of their radiation therapy treatments and refers them to an Oncology nurse or a Radiation Oncologist when necessary. Schedules and maintains daily therapy treatment appointments. Documents daily dose delivered and accurately calculates accumulated dose and elapsed treatment days. EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE: Minimum Required: Graduate of an accredited School of Radiation Therapy Board Certified or Registry eligible by the ARRT in Radiation Therapy Preferred: ARRT registered 1 years experience
