**Job Description:**
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at in Greenvale, NY. As an Operating Room RN, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures. You will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes and safety.
**Responsibilities:**
- Preparing operating rooms for surgical procedures by ensuring all necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies are available and functioning properly.
- Assisting surgeons and other healthcare team members during surgical procedures by providing surgical instruments, anticipating the needs of the surgical team, and maintaining a sterile field.
- Monitoring patients' vital signs and responses to anesthesia during surgery, intervening as needed to maintain stability and safety.
- Providing post-operative care to patients in the recovery room, monitoring their condition, managing pain, and addressing any complications or adverse reactions.
- Educating patients and their families about surgical procedures, post-operative care, and discharge instructions.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for surgical patients.
- Maintaining accurate and detailed documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
**Requirements:**
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Registered Nurse in an operating room setting (Required).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (Required).
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of surgical procedures, anesthesia principles, and perioperative nursing care.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
