Duties
• You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work.
• You will assign work to subordinates based on priorities, the difficulty of the work to be performed, and the capabilities of employees.
• You will develops performance standards for subordinates.
• You will interview candidates for positions in the office
Recommend appointment, promotion, or reassignment to positions in the office.
• You will hear and resolve complaints from employees, referring group grievances and more serious unresolved complaints to a higher level supervisor or manager.
• You will negotiate and coordinates complex issues pertaining to safety and occupational health for the plant Albany.
• You will ensure all program requirements imposed by higher echelons and/or regulatory agencies are met, including all inspection and reporting requirements.
• You will budget for and manages fiscal resources for support of the Safety and Occupational Health and Security Programs.
• You will inspect physical security devices and makes recommends for fences
locks, alarms and safes

• Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty
Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites
You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
• This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements
Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
• You may be recalled to duty outside of normal working hours.
• Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics
You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
• This position requires which requires a State Criminal History Repository (SCHR) check to be completed on any person selected for this position

Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Knowledge, capabilities, and practice associated with Department of Defense, Federal OSHA and applicable international health and safety regulations, policies and procedures used to develop and implement mishap and environmental health prevention practices and measures in all work places; Develops and analyzes policy, manages and assesses the effectiveness of health and safety programs and practices designed to prevent injury to personnel and loss of property in the industrial work environment and promotes the health and well-being of employees
