Signature Healthcare's Brockton Hospital is hiring for a Part-Time Paramedic in Brockton, MA.

Type: Part-Time

Shift: Days

Shift Details: 7:00am - 7:00pm

Paramedic Roles and Responsibilities:

* Understands the customer's needs and provide correct information and the ability to resolve problems requiring logical thinking and follow through.
* Functions calmly and logically under tense and difficult situations.
* Works with frequent interruptions and responds appropriately to unexpected situations.
* Accepts constructive feedback and initiates appropriate actions to correct situations.
* Manages difficult patients with high regard for staff and patient safety.
* Deals with a variety of unique situations where only limited standardization may exist.
* Interprets a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
* Uses appropriate judgment in communications and actions with patients, physicians, coworkers and, outside agencies.
* Demonstrates well-developed interpersonal skills to work in a fast paced environment involving interaction with associates, clients and patients.
* Provide patients with emergency care by utilizing appropriate techniques and equipment
* Document patient information, condition, and treatment
* Maintain patient confidentiality and perform all care with respect for patient rights
* Transport patients in accordance with outlined policies and procedures
* Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients
* Provide basic life support as delegated

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Required

* High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
* Current Paramedic certification/license in the state of Massachusetts.
* Current ACLS and BLS certification

Preferred

* 1 year of experience in an emergency care setting preferred
