The Systems Engineer (Architecure) role(s) requires candidates to have three (3) or more years of professional experience supporting DoD related Systems Engineering (SE) activities
Additional Requirements & Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in physical science, engineering, or mathematics
- Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance is required - U.S
Citizenship is required
- Three years of systems engineering experience related to architecture development to include developing and reviewing SEPs, TEMPs, IRS, risk assessments, DoD architectures, or analysis of alternatives for DoD programs
- Must be a quick learner who adapts easily to frequently changing requirements and thrives in an exciting environment
Desired Skills - Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility or active TS/SCI
- Knowledge of US Navy programs and architectures - Experience supporting cross-SYSCOM engineering efforts - Experience supporting systems integration and/or interoperability test efforts
- Knowledge of tactical data links - Exercise independent judgment and work autonomously with minimal supervision - Strong written and oral communication skills, the ability and willingness to multi-task, and capable of professionally addressing client questions and issues Responsibilities in this position include, but are not limited to: - Works as part of a team supporting the program office with Systems Engineering activities related to architecture development - Develops and maintains architectures, specifications, and standards
- Develops engineering documentation throughout the RDTE life cycle and support review and adjudication activities for items such as System Design Specifications, DoDAF architecture documents, TEMPs, IV&V plans, and software management plans
- Assist in the development and update of AoAs determinations in support of program milestone requirements - Support risk identification and assessments - Reviews Request for Change (RFC) and Enterprise Change Requests (ECRs) - Prepares technical presentations, briefings, and papers to address systems engineering status
- Works independently with minimal supervision/oversight in a team environment
Work Posture - Must be committed to working on-site at Kitty Hawk Technologies, partner, or customer facilities in San Diego, California or Dahlgren, VA
Travel - Some travel may be required for this position (CONUS and OCONUS).
