Packaging Associate Job DescriptionThe Packaging Associate is responsible for packaging bulk and bagged products. This position performs interior and external cleaning and sanitation as well as monitors inventory. Attendance and personal accountability in this role are critical. Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision.
What a Packaging Associate will do:
  • Operate processing equipment to package pouch, bag, and bulk products efficiently
  • Ensure the highest possible sanitation levels in assigned work and warehouse areas daily
  • Accurately complete all assigned paperwork, including food safety, safety, and quality production reporting
  • Perform routine checks and troubleshooting of packaging machinery
  • Operate forklifts for various tasks within the packaging process
What you need to be a Packaging Associate:
  • 1+ years of related experience and/or training, preferably in food manufacturing with knowledge of GMPs
  • Basic math skills and ability to read, write, and perform data entry
  • Some computer experience preferred
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrate good attendance, follow directions, and be detail-oriented with good communication and interpersonal skills
