Job Summary

Sentara Medical Group is seeking a Flex/PRN Acute Care Advanced Practice Provider to join its Inpatient Behavioral Health team at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital, a 276 bed hospital with a 26 bed Behavioral Health Unit.

Position highlights include:

●Scheduling by mutual agreement

●Perform initial assessments, monitor daily progress, and discharges

●Provide medication management and psychotherapy when appropriate

●Partner with care coordination teams, families, and patients

●Assess and manage crisis situations

●Fully integrated EHR (Epic)

This is a great opportunity to be an integral part of a healthcare system focused on quality, transformation, and innovation. Requirements for this position include Virginia-licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, and a current, unrestricted DEA license. Candidates must have the ability to provide quality, comprehensive, continuity of medical care in a compassionate manner with minimum supervision.

Qualifications:

MLD - Master's Level Degree: Nurse Practitioner (Required), MLD - Master's Level Degree: Nurse Practitioner (Required)

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI, Authorization to Prescribe License - Certification - North Carolina, Authorization to Prescribe License - Certification - Other/National, Authorization to Prescribe License - Certification - Virginia Department of Health Professionals (VADHP), Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI, Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Certification - Other/National, Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Nursing License - North Carolina, Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Nursing License - Virginia Department of Health Professionals (VADHP), Physician Assistant License (PA) - State License - North Carolina, Physician Assistant License (PA) - State License - Other/National, Physician Assistant License (PA) - State License - Virginia Department of Health Professionals (VADHP), Registered Nurse (RN) Single State - Nursing License - North Carolina, Registered Nurse (RN) Single State - Nursing License - Virginia Department of Health Professionals (VADHP), Registered Nurse License (RN) - Nursing License - Compact/Multi-State License
