Verovian Nursing Agency is looking for a competent Registered Nurse in the Labour and Delivery Unit to join a team of healthcare professionals located in Anchorage, Alaska. Job specification

  • Assess and monitor expectant mothers during labor, evaluating vital signs, fetal heart rates, and contractions.
  • Assist with the management of labor, including the administration of medications, pain relief techniques, and monitoring of progress.
  • Collaborate with obstetricians and midwives during childbirth, ensuring a safe and smooth delivery.
  • Care for newborns immediately after birth, conducting assessments and interventions as needed.
  • Educate expectant mothers and their families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care and provide guidance on infant care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing institution.
  • An Active Alaska RN License
  • 1 year of experience in labor and delivery
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) by the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP)
  • Previous experience in labor and delivery nursing is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and emotionally charged environment.
  • Compassion, patience, and dedication to providing exceptional patient-centered care.
