Responsibilities:

Cedar Point has an opening in its Maintenance Division for the position of Animation Technician. This union position is seasonal. This position is responsible for maintaining animatronics, props, soft play equipment, and special effect equipment throughout Cedar Point, Cedar Point Shores, and Castaway Bay.

  • Daily inspections and repairs of equipment.
  • Artistic painting of props.
  • Set up of social events such as Halloweekends.
  • Maintain low voltage lighting and electronics.

Qualifications:
  • High school graduate or GED.
  • Must have valid driver’s license.
  • Must join Laborers Union.
  • Must provide own hand tools.
  • Willing to work various shifts and days with the ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
  • Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
  • Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education, and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
