JOB OVERVIEW

Care Indeed is looking for enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and skilled professionals with a can-do attitude to join our team as full-time Certified Nursing Assistants. As a member of our team, you will communicate with clients and their families, doctors, and medical staff; and monitor clients situations on an ongoing basis to ensure that changing needs are addressed. Strong management, leadership, and problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn and continuously improve are essential for success in this role. A demonstrated background in education skills, knowledge, and experience in aging and care management is also necessary to provide quality care management services.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide personal care assistant services to patients as identified by the agency in the plan of services per agency policies and procedures
  • Assist with personal care activities (ADLs) and IADLs allowing patients independence to tolerance as indicated in the service plan
  • Personal care and hygiene
  • Universal precautions
  • Locomotion/ambulation/fall prevention oversight
  • Nutritional support, meal preparation, feeding assistance
  • Bed mobility and positioning, the range of motion exercises
  • Toileting
  • Continence care
  • Dressing and undressing
  • Bathing
  • Skincare
  • Linen changes
  • Laundry of patients clothing and bedding
  • Social and emotional support
  • Documentation


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Drivers license
  • Bachelors degree
  • Medication administration: 1 year (Required)
  • Skilled nursing facility: 1 year (Preferred)
  • CPR/BLS Certification
  • Active CNA certification with a minimum 1 year of experience
  • Demonstrate support for the agencys mission statement to promote quality, efficient, comprehensive, and effective patient services
  • Proper use and care of equipment
  • Practice safety, universal precaution, and infection control measures
  • Availability during and after business hours, and for on-call rotation on weekends.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an eagerness to learn.
  • Unwavering commitment to ethical work standards in all interactions with clients and employees.


SALARY

  • $22.00 - $30.00 per hour


WORK HOURS AND BENEFITS

  • Job Type: Full Time, Part Time
  • Location: Menlo Park, CA
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, Weekends, Per Diem
  • Benefits - 401(k) matching, Dental Insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, Vision insurance, Paid sick leave


WORKING CONDITIONS

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptops, smartphones, photocopiers/scanners, shredders, and filing cabinets. Risk of exposure to bloodborne pathogens-limited


  1. Risk of exposure to bloodborne pathogens – limited
  2. The position is stressful in terms of meeting deadlines.
  3. It requires minimal lifting of office records and printouts.
  4. It is primarily a desk job that essentially involves sitting, standing, stooping, and walking, as well as an inordinate amount of telephone communication
  5. Travel is required; use of personal car to local, out-of-town seminars, conferences, or meetings
