He/She provides care to adult, adolescent, and geriatric populations with medical conditions. - The 1st Acute RN is accountable for patient family education to assist in understanding self-care beyond hospitalization, including lifestyle changes to support health and healing. - The 1st Acute Registered Nurse is expected to promote comfort and provide emotional support in a Healing Environment. - Job Functions: - Applies nursing knowledge and skill in the delivery of care. - Assesses patient/family needs through active listening, social perceptiveness, and analyzing data or information obtained through direct observation/assessment, technology, or health team communication. - Promotes, advocates for and protects the health, safety and rights of the patient. - Teaches others as appropriate... - Systematically evaluates quality and effectiveness of Nursing Practice... - Nursing practice reflects the importance of making a meaningful connection with patient/family. - Demonstrates skill in application of interventions including medication administration. - Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is reasonably anticipated. - Skills: - BLS, ACLS, PALS, NYS RN Licensure - Required - 1 Years - Two Years Experience serving in Med/Surg Environment as a Registered Nurse - Required - 2 Years
