Job Summary:

The personal trainer will be responsible for designing and delivering safe and effective exercise programs for seniors. The trainer will work one-on-one and in small groups with clients to help them improve their physical fitness, reduce the risk of falls and improve their overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement individualized exercise programs for clients, taking into account their fitness levels, abilities, and goals.

* Create, manage and maintain an accurate schedule, inclusive of client appointments, and meetings.

* Provide instruction on proper form and technique for exercises to ensure safety and effectiveness.

* Monitor clients' progress and make adjustments to their exercise programs as needed

* Provide clients with education on the benefits of regular physical activity and how to maintain an active lifestyle.

* Communicate with clients' healthcare providers, as needed, to ensure safe and effective exercise programming.

* Maintain accurate records of clients' progress and document any changes in their health status.

* Attend staff meetings and training opportunities to stay current on industry trends and best practices.

* Be knowledgeable of all safety procedures for senior populations.

* Be available for consultation during the center's hours of operation and meet regularly with your supervisor for accountability and progress reviews.

Qualifications:

* Must possess a high school diploma, GED or higher and two (2) or more years of progressively responsible work experience with senior personal training.

* Certification as a personal trainer from a recognized organization such as ACE, ACSM, NASM, NSCA, or other equivalent.

* Experience working with the senior population and knowledge of how to adapt exercise programs for this population.

* Possesses passion, ambition, drive, and knowledge regarding fitness

* Ability to work in-person during weekdays/weekends

* Strong verbal and written communication skills.

* Effective time management

* Energetic, friendly, punctual, and respectful

* Self-motivated and committed to continued learning and development.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Current CPR and AED certification.
