This is core to our culture and we do everything we can to foster an entrepreneurial spirit within our team as we strive for personal and organizational excellence.Responsibilities: Own, build and run a suite of impactful platforms built on modern cloud technologies that provide a suite of functionality delivering APIs, integrations, security, messaging, streaming, identity, performance, reliability & containersDevelop and drive long-term strategies and roadmaps aligning with business priorities in partnership with the Product Management teamBuild a multi-region and multi-cloud platform that allows scalable, secure service delivery across hundreds of services on AWS & Azure clouds in a regulated environmentAct as a primary lead partnering to provide technical guidance, support, and direction for several platform engineering teamsSupport the effort to containerize a suite of applications to reduce cost and improve efficiencyUse data-driven insights across our cloud estate to inform and drive new feature development to optimize usage and reduce costRequirements:Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience out of which 6+ years of hands-on software engineering experience using Go, Python, Java, Ruby or equivalentHas 4+ years of experience in a lead engineering role, working with a diverse & distributed team located across the globeWill be confident in their ability to own and deliver a roadmap tied to business prioritiesHas effective communication skills (written and verbal) to properly articulate complicated problems to all levels of the organization & customersHas experience in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, AKS, ECS)Has experience with data platforms (Elasticsearch, Kafka), queueing & background services (SQS, SNS, Resque), identity services (Keycloak, Aerobase, FreeIPA), integrations (API gateways, middleware), application security, or cloud performance optimizationHas experience building & running modern full-stack cloud applications using public cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) reliably and at scaleTakes full ownership of products and has a track record of sustainably delivering high quality features & managing technical debtHas a passion for excellence, is a natural problem solver, and a critical thinker. You should enjoy digging deep to understand issues and like solving hard problemsHas a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalentIt would also be great (but not essential) for you to have:Experience with modern infrastructure management systems (Chef, Ansible, Terraform)Expertise in building Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), Infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS), or Internal Developer Portal (IDP) solutionsThe estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:• Based in California: $221,425 - 260,500The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state.#LI-AA2
