With one of the largest multimedia air and land permitting and compliance teams in the country, we support client success in manufacturing and industry, liquids delivery and processing, natural gas storage and delivery, power generation and delivery, and transportation projects. TRC is seeking a Senior Air Quality Project Manager to manage and contribute technically to our New York air quality permitting, compliance, and related projects for a broad range of government and industry clients. The person would preferably work out of one of TRC-s several New York metropolitan area offices (Melville, NY, Manhattan, CT and NJ), however, location is flexible.The position requires a strong technical, financial, business development and management background, and a solid reputation of building and maintaining key client relationships. This full-time position reports to TRC-s Regional Air Management Services (AMS) Consulting Leader. TRC's AMS team is a growing and highly profitable group ranging from entry-level staff to nationally recognized Subject matter Experts. Our Senior Air Quality Engineers - Scientists:Manage and contribute technically to air quality compliance, permitting, and related compliance projects primarily in New York. Serve as a technical resource on air quality compliance assurance and permitting programs, including regulatory analyses of a broad range of facility operations; major and minor source air permit applications under NSR, PSD, Title V, and state-level regulations; and NESHAP MACT compliance programs.Work on strategic pursuits, including RFQ and RFP reviews, proposal development and client meetings. Assist with and support TRC-s various efforts to grow the Air Quality service area in New York and the Northeast Region.Possess excellent verbal, written, presentation and client management skills; demonstrated ability leading and managing complex projects; as well as being goal oriented, quality focused, and have demonstrated success with creating and fostering a team environment.QualificationsBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in chemical, environmental, mechanical, civil engineering, meteorology, or related field of study. Related Master's Degree a plus.Minimum of 7 years of New York air quality compliance and permitting experience, including managing, and implementing Clean Air Act programs such as Title V, New Source Review, BACT, RACT and MACT, and permitting, air quality engineering, air dispersion modeling and compliance with air quality requirements. Effective management of multiple air quality projects and capability to establish client relationships that result in repeat business.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.Experience preparing proposals and managing work.Experience writing comprehensive technical reports.An effective collaborator and strategic thinker. Preferred Qualifications:In addition to the basic qualifications, the qualifications below are highly desired:Proven track record with business development in air quality related services.Certified Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP), Certified Consulting Meteorologist (CCM), or licensed Professional Engineer (PE).Active Membership in AWMA, AMS, ASME, AICHE or other Professional Associations.CompensationIn accordance with local law, the following compensation range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition: $100k - $150k.
