Overall Summary: Support the operations of the Post Library
Responsibilities:
* Provide support to the Dean's Office, the Technical Services department, and other library operations or departments
* Perform clerical duties to support library operations, including acquisitions, cataloging, periodicals, library business operations and the overall needs of the library
* Process orders and invoices, and receive library materials in various formats
* Process physical items, including, but not limited to, preparation of book labels and barcodes
* Create and maintain records in the Integrated Library System, keep statistics and provide reports as needed
* Maintain communications with various vendors
* Assist technical services librarians for technical services operations and other librarians as needed
* Assist with fulfilling interlibrary loan and intralibrary loan requests
* Assist with the inventory of library collections
* Assist with public service tasks such as Circulation and Reserves service desk coverage
* Supervise student assistants
* Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Excellent computer and catalog/database searching skills
* Proficient in computer applications (i.e. Microsoft office, Excel and Power-Point) and catalog/database searching
Preferred:
The ideal candidate will be customer service and detail-oriented, and a team player. Library or higher education experience will be a plus.
