Summary You will serve as a SAPR COMMAND VICTIM ADVOCATE (SAR WF) in the MC Community Services Office ofMARCORPSBARRACKS
Duties
• You will provide professional and comprehensive advocacy services to individuals exhibiting a wide variety of issues related to being a victim or survivor of sexual assault.
• You will explain each of the reporting options available, including the exceptions and/or limitations on use applicable to each, and rights of a victim.
• You will conduct assessments with clients to determine required needs, evaluate safety and levels of risks.
• You will develop and implement appropriate plan of action in crisis situations.
• You will provide clients with information, referrals and applicable resources available.
• You will assist victims with prioritizing actions and establishing short-and-long-term goals related to recovery from sexual assault.
• You will conduct professional level/administrative educational and interactive training workshops/seminars on sexual assault
Requirements Conditions of Employment
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
• Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

• You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States drivers license.
• In accordance with DoDI 6495.03: Must be able to obtain and maintain D-SAACP certification.

Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements
Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites
You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases
Qualifications In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing sexual assault advocacy services; developing and implementing crisis plan of actions and sexual assault assistance plans; assisting with developing and coordinating command SAPR prevention and awareness campaigns or events; and conducting education and training sexual assault workshops/seminars

or Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field

Due to the nature of work in this position, the incumbent may serve in an "on call" duty status outside of normal work hours that include remaining in a reasonable call back radius, carrying a cell phone, staffing the 24/7 support line duty as needed; regularly checking email to respond to crises; remaining in a state of readiness to perform work with limitations on pursuing outside leisure activities while on call; and/or reporting to a designated post of duty to be ready to or to perform work
