This position is located at Winn Army Community Hospital in Hinesville, GA.


The OB/GYN Physician's responsibilities include diverse cases, including complex and challenging scenarios within the specialty. Your expertise will extend to offering consultative services to fellow staff members on intricate OB/GYN cases. Should cases require treatments or services beyond our facility's capacity, you will coordinate referrals to suitable civilian or military medical facilities.


Duties include but :

  1. Clinical Expertise: Conduct thorough examinations, diagnoses, and treatments for OB/GYN patients, including those with complex conditions. Perform surgical procedures and guide the Operating Room, collaborating with the Chief of Obstetrics/Gynecology Service and assisting medical personnel. Additionally, basic colposcopy and treatment for dysplasia should be administered. Offer instruction and supervision to ancillary staff in patient care and treatment protocols.
  2. Consultative Leadership: Demonstrate high-level consultative skills in OB/GYN, offering expert guidance to medical colleagues, particularly on intricate cases. Be readily available for on-call consultations to advise on patient care procedures and provide support to ward personnel managing hospitalized OB/GYN patients. Respond promptly to OB/GYN calls within the facility and serve as backup for other obstetricians.
  3. Specialized Services: Conduct high-risk ultrasound clinics, including Biometry, fetal surveillance, and biophysical profiling. Perform essential infertility evaluations and treatments. Lead introductory perinatal risk management conferences and provide educational sessions for staff.
  4. Professional Development: Maintain a current, unrestricted medical license and pursue continuing medical education (CME) regularly to stay updated with advancements in the field.


Qualifications:

  • M.D. or D.O. and successful completion of postgraduate training.
  • Graduate from an accredited medical school in the United States or Canada. This degree must have been accredited by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association; Association of American Medical Colleges; Liaison Committee on Medical Education; Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation of the American Osteopathic Association, or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience with the past two years, full scope obstetrics and gynecology physician
  • Board Eligible/Certified in OB/GYN.
  • American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and NRP.
  • Possess a current, active, complete, and unrestricted physician license or registration from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a U.S. territory.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.


Work Schedule

  • Forty hours per week, Monday through Friday, between 7:30 AM and 4:30 PM. Shifts will generally be scheduled for a 9-hour period, including an uncompensated 60-minute lunch break. Alternative shifts may be required. Primary on-call will be required, including nights, weekends, and federal and military holidays.
