ELECTRICIAN with Security Clearance

Duties
• You will perform structure-to electrolyte cathodic protection potential surveys.
• You will perform installation and repair of electrical systems such as primary and secondary utility services.
• You will plan and lay out the work, tracing hard-to-locate defects, problems, and completes repairs and installations.
• You will install, repair, maintain, troubleshoot, test, and load new and existing electrical lines, circuits, system, and associated fixtures
Requirements Conditions of Employment

• Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: I have the ability to perform common tasks to include: 1) Assisting in the installation or repair of industrial electrical systems; 2)Using a variety of test equipment, e.g., meggers, multimeters, frequency meters, watt meters, power factor meters, vibro-grounds, phase rotation meters, to perform the job; 3) Deciding on methods and techniques to use based on work orders and schematics; and 4) Carrying out oral and written instructions to complete work orders
I work under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed

PHYSCIAL REQUIREMENTS: Works from ladders, scaffolding, platforms, and other hard-to-reach places requiring long periods of standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions
Lifts and carries tools, equipment, and parts that weigh 20-40 lbs and, occasionally, may lift or move heavier equipment with assistance
WORKING CONDITIONS: The work is performed both inside and outside
May be required to make repairs and installations in bad weather
May work in areas that are noisy, dirty, dusty, and greasy; on scaffolding or cranes at heights of 30 feet or more; and in close quarters such as manholes, attics, or aboard ships
May occasionally be exposed to the possibility of injury from falling, electrical shock, bums, and rotary devices such as electrical motors
May be exposed to the possibility of cuts and bruises.
