The Dunklin R-5 School District is seeking enthusiastic and student-centered individuals to fill full-time Paraprofessional positions. As a paraprofessional, you will help teachers support students. The successful candidate(s) will be part of a high-energy and enthusiastic team of professionals, dedicated to meeting the academic, social, and emotional needs of students. Must be able to work with students and staff to provide academic, social, and behavioral support for the Dunklin R-5 School District.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Reinforce lessons by reviewing material one-on-one or in small groups
• Guide and instruct students on proper classroom behavior and social interactions
• Help teacher keep records and data for reporting purposes
• Supervise students during lunch and recess
• Supervise students between classes and on field trips
• Assist students who need extra help and practice learning specific skills and concepts.
Starting Date: As soon as filled
Qualifications: 60 college hours or be willing to pass a 20-hour training offered by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (new for the upcoming school year).
Benefits: Board Paid Health, Life, and Dental. Employees are offered, on a fee basis, in district childcare for ages birth through two years old with availability at our preschool for ages 3-5.
