Job Responsibilities

+ Responsible for overseeing the full accounts payable cycle.

+ Record and upload all accounts payables invoices for separate entities, and vendors, into the company's expense allocation system.

+ Review all accounts payables invoices for accuracy, approvals, and appropriate supporting documentation.

+ Collaborate with internal departments to gather, analyze, and interpret workflow processes for vendor invoices.

+ Review allocation of invoices and general ledger accounts payable postings in accordance with company accounting policies.

+ Monitor management company and fund invoice correspondence.

+ Process and organize all approved vendor invoices for payment.

+ Communicate effectively with internal and external vendors regarding invoicing, review/approvals, and payment status.

+ Maintain vendor files including all required tax information.

+ Assist with expense reimbursement review/approvals ensuring expenses are within policy, properly documented, coded, and processed in a timely manner.

+ Generate and distribute annual 1099 reporting package.

+ Assist in month-end and quarter-end close process.

Requirements

Job Requirements:

+ Proven work experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist, or similar role, with preference given to experience at a private debt or equity, fund administrator or public accounting organization.

+ In-depth knowledge of accounts payable principles and accounting standards.

+ Experience with general ledger and account reconciliations.

+ Familiarity with accounting software. Experience with NetSuite or QuickBooks preferred, however, not required.

+ Advanced proficiency with Adobe Acrobat PDF software and Microsoft Office products (especially Excel).

+ Knowledge of electronic AP processing (EDI/ACH) and wires.

+ Strong written and oral communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

+ Strict attention to detail and strong mathematical skills.

+ Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred.

+ Ability to work independently and prioritize workload.
