Rigger with Security Clearance

Duties
• You will perform and direct placement, removal, or repositioning of machinery.
• You will estimate weight and center of gravity of loads to be moved.
• You will maneuver, tilt, and control loads as necessary.
• You will install beam clamps, gin poles, gallows frames and other supporting structures.
• You will devise means of moving and controlling movement of heavy research equipment through narrow openings
Requirements Conditions of Employment

• Incumbent must be able to obtain a Commercial Drivers License (CDL) issued by the state in which he/she resides.
• Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Forklift certification.
• Incumbent must have good vision and good color discernment

Applicants must be able to demonstrate the Ability to Do the Work of a WG-5210-10 Rigger Without More than Normal Supervision performing tasks such as: Performing and directing placement, removal, or reposition of machinery; Installing beam clamps, gin poles, gallows frames, and other supporting structures; Assisting in ship docking operations by laying out and handling lines and tackle, Installing or repairing rigging on ships
