JOB SUMMARY Certified Nurse Aides (CNA#s) provide personal care, health-related services, and assist with activities of daily living. CNA#s function under the direction, instruction and supervision of nursing staff. They attend to those who are being treated to manage illness and/or recovering from a procedure or surgical intervention. CNAs working/floating to PCU, IMCU or CCU units provide care for primarily adult patients who require cardiac monitoring. CNA#s have a professional obligation to participate in committee activities, surveys, improvement initiatives and continuing education.# JOB REQUIREMENTS Minimum Education High school or equivalent Minimum Work Experience Required Licenses/Certifications Certified Nurse Aide BLS Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Input data into computer programs. #Communication and public relation skills. #Obtain manual or electronic Vital Signs. #Work with therapeutic equipment. #Answers telephones. #Collaborate care with nurses and report patient concerns timely. #Ability to follow safety guidelines. #Ensures excellent time and attendance. #Ability to handle confidential information and following HIPAA Compliance. Maintain professional appearance at all times.
