The ideal candidate executes duties with a willingness to help others who are in need. Daily responsibilities will be to deliver direct care to patients and includes, but are not limited to, the below items.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assesses needs, ensures proper follow-up care and supports nursing team in completion of tasks.
  • Performs various direct patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • Assists patients in dressing or undressing, bathing, or eating.
  • Collects non-invasive body fluid specimens and gathers vital signs.
  • Aids physicians and nursing staff members with procedures if needed.
  • Documents patient interactions as needed.
  • Participates in frequent interaction with patients regarding all levels of concerns and questions.
  • Responds to call patient call lights.
  • Assisting in all aspects of medical practice under the supervision of a medical provider.
  • Observes and abides by the policies and procedures of Grand River Hospital District.
  • Performs a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Active Certified Nursing Assistant License in the State of Colorado required.
  • Completion of Medical Terminology course preferred.
  • Must have current BLS card upon hire and maintain current status throughout GRHD employment.
  • Preferred minimum of 2 years' experience in patient care.

SALARY INFORMATION :
  • $17.50 - $26.57 Dependent on Experience
  • Additional $2.00 - $4.00 an hour for additional weekend and night shifts
  • 10% differential on top of base salary
