IT SPECIALIST

Duties
• You will be responsible for most aspects of Information Technology (IT) analysis, programming, testing, implementation, coordination, and maintenance.
• You will research applicable regulations, standards and policies governing a variety of topics such as system performance and processing conditions.
• You will integrate portions of the System Specifications (SS) or similar documents that were developed or modified by team members into the final design document.
• You will navigate and manage database records using a data manipulation tool such as TOAD, SQL Developer, or equivalent

Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined: 1

In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: 1) Utilizing programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, C#, Python, and Common Business Oriented Language (COBOL) to implement new system capabilities; 2) Providing technical guidance in designing, coding, testing, debugging, and maintaining assigned systems or applications; 3) Applying knowledge of policies, standards, and regulations associated with the development process to plan and conduct studies for projects; 4) Coding and testing software changes; and 5) Applying applications software and systems engineering concepts such as supportability, reliability, and scalability to optimize response time, consistency, infrastructure requirements, and database management features
