Overview

Working as a Med Tech/MLT/LAB Tech at our Critical Access Hospital, you'll perform a wide range of technical procedures analyzing blood and various body fluids in order to expedite the physician's diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Every interaction is an opportunity to improve your understanding of a patient's needs, the needs of your patient care team, or the needs of your facility. You'll advocate for your team as you support them in reaching their full potential, aligning with our operational goals and objectives.

Work involves confidential patient diagnosis and test results, requiring the employee to respect the patient's right to confidentiality. To thrive in this role, you will have excellent communication skills and interact pleasantly and professionally with all co-workers, medical staff, patients, visitors and others.

This position is casual as needed...we will hire a MT/MLS, MLT or LAB Tech in this position

Responsibilities

* Performs job duties of Lab Tech; performing a variety of chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic procedures of a moderately and highly complex nature, following established standards and practices to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease.

Qualifications

* Associates Degree in MLT OR Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or Bachelor's Degree in Biology or related science from an accredited school.
* Current certification as one of the following or to be obtained as applicable: Med Tech (Medical Tech), Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS), Medical Lab Scientist (MLS), Medical Lab Technologist (MLT) OR LAB Tech.
* Certification by ASCP or NCA.

Preferred:

* Two (2) years of experience.
