At Mindfully, our mission is to promote and provide comprehensive, convenient access to quality mental health care that is affordable, progressive, and personalized.

We are seeking a Certified Peer Support Specialist to work part-time. Must have a Peer Support Specialist Certificate or be willing to obtain one before the school year starts.

Pay rate: $18.50 per hour.

Hybrid schedule: Combination of work from home and in-person hours.

We focus on matching clients with providers who specialize in the challenges they are facing, which helps our clients meet their goals with greater success and our providers find deeper fulfillment in their work.

Our private practice offers autonomy and independence while maintaining a sense of community, and our Mindfully Academy provides training opportunities in different modalities and specializations, such as DBT, EMDR/Trauma, child/Adolescent, SUD, Couples/IFS/Emotion Focused/Gottman and much more.

Peer Support Specialist Duties:
  • Connecting with each new client in your caseload and coordinating ongoing sessions.
  • Delivering valuable peer support services via one on one working with clients and/or facilitating group sessions.
  • Empowering clients to achieve their hopes, dreams, and goals, moving them forward with their personal recovery journey.
  • Guiding clients in developing and articulating their personal goals for recovery.
  • Providing resources and support for their goals.
  • Assisting clients in working with their providers (case managers, social workers, therapists, etc.) to determine steps to take in order to achieve goals in their service plans.
  • Working with clients in identifying and working through fears and combating negative self-talk. Teaching self-advocacy and empowerment skills.
  • Share and role model the value of each individual's recovery experience.
  • Modeling effective coping techniques and self-help strategies, as appropriate.
  • Identifying person-centered strengths, needs, and abilities.
  • Teaching basic problem solving strategies, encouraging progress, celebrating learning.
  • Sharing messages of encouragement
  • Documenting services/codes in the customer medical records timely and accurately.
  • Maintaining your personal recovery.
  • Maintaining HIPAA compliance in all behavior.
  • Identifying areas of support needed, to ask for help, share feedback on areas for improvement, support other team members.
  • Preparing reports, such as caseload, peer support capacity, quality.
  • Collaborating on the development of new content/curriculum for customer channels.
  • Supporting in launching peer support programs with customers in new or existing customer channels.
  • Supporting with the planning and execution of special strategic projects that may come up from time to time during the normal operating of the business.

Requirements:
  • Ohio Certificate for Peer Support or Peer Recovery.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Willing to work in Cincinnati, OH.
