As Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting, you will lead the implementation of processes, policies, and procedures ensuring the accuracy of accounting and reporting for revenue recognition (ASC 606). You will play a major part in the financial month-end closing and reporting process by managing complex journal entries and the revenue accounting recognition tool (RAR) for the company. You will partner with key business stakeholders and business finance partners to provide guidance on the revenue recognition for new products and services and to ensure adherence to applicable guidance, policies, and processes. You will need to have excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, and will need to be a leader that can motivate and develop the staff.As Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting, your duties will include:Provide strategic direction for all revenue accounting close activities, including the review of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and flux analyses for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processesAccounting lead for the implementation of SAP BRIM billing system, including migration of legacy billing systems, providing detailed accounting and reporting requirements, and support UAT testingReview and assess sales contracts for appropriate revenue recognition under ASC 606, performing research & documenting conclusions, as needed.Review and approval of calculations for current expected credit losses (CECL) and specific revenue reservesDevelop detailed reporting and analysis for all revenue related activities in support of month end closeCollaborate with the upstream operational teams on improving revenue recognition processes & ensuring system accuracy.Collaborate cross-functionally to support company-wide initiatives by informing and educating business partners on revenue accounting concepts and requirements for revenue recognitionOversee the development of revenue related financial reporting disclosuresSupport the quarterly and year-end inquiries, requests, and activities originating from our internal and external auditorsMaintain a focus on continuous process improvement by identifying opportunities for efficiency and implementing time/resource saving solutionsManage performance and ensure ongoing development of staff.Execute special projects as neededQualificationsWHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 5+ years of recent experience in revenue accountingSME level knowledge of ASC 606 principlesPreferred 5+ years of experience leading teams of direct and indirect reports in a deadline-driven environment.Experience organizing a large volume of information and identifying and deploying automation tools/solutionsProficiency in the use of database tools and financial reporting packages.Clear communicator, experience running meetings effectively, and to explain complex concepts to a non-technical audienceComplete ownership and accountability of the function given the deadline-oriented nature of the positionAdaptable to changing business environment and organizational structureBONUS POINTS FOR:CPA designationMaster’s Degree in Accounting or FinanceExperience with SAP, a plusExperience with billing system implementations and migrationsBackground in the telecommunications industry#LI-SS1Additional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.WHY JOIN US?We aspire to contemporary ways of working.We are committed to being a leader in defining a new way to work because we recognize the changing mindset of today's workforce.
