Job Overview:

RWJBarnabas Health is looking to add a qualified Per Diem Physical Therapy Aide in Somerville, NJ. This position will work in outpatient, sports and orthopedic setting for those looking to pursue a future career in physical therapy or health related field.

Qualifications:

Required:

* HS diploma or GED
* Excellent communication and organizational skills

Preferred:

* Basic knowledge of anatomy and muscle movement terminology

Certifications and Licenses Required:

* American Heart Association CPR Certification

Scheduling Requirements:

* Day Shift
* Per Diem Schedule

Essential Functions:

* General housekeeping and infection prevention
* Maintaining treatment area and setting up equipment
* Retrieving equipment such as hot packs, cold packs, electrical equipment
* Assist in clerical needs of department such as answering phones and taking messages
* Assisting physical therapists with patient care such as assisting with patient transfers onto and off of treatment tables and equipment
