The Endoscope - Reprocessor - Cert follows hospital policy for the appropriate cleaning/disinfecting and maintaining of all patient care equipment, stretchers, chairs, computers, organization and cleaning of supply closets. Job Details Responsibilities: - Daily review of recording charts - scope processing protocols traced to patient, scope disinfection and scope processor maintenance logs and trouble shooting - Transport and process instruments according to Manufacturer's instructions - Knowledge of SGNA, AAMI OSHA, Joint Commission standards - Knowledge of packaging reusable supplies for sterilization, storage and aseptic presentation for use. - Assist and or transport patients in a timely safe manner as required - Accepts responsibility for environmental maintenance, cleaning the unit (ASU/ENDO) - Primary responsibility for the Flexible endoscope reprocessor (certified) is knowledge of instrumentation and proper disinfection and manual cleaning of scopes and accessory equipment per manufacturer instructions. Knowledge and maintenance of endoscope reprocessor equipment. Knowledge of hospital policy including infection control. Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent required. - Endoscope Reprocessor Certification required or Central Sterile Tech certification but also willing to train if you do not have certification. However would be required within first 6 months of being hired - Minor Computer skills - Knowledge of Hospital Supplies, endoscope instrumentation, high level disinfection and importance of manufacturer's instructions on device safety. - BLS certification Salary Range USD $29.20 - USD $36.50 /Hr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
