Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Nurse Practitioner. The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for providing primary care to patients, conducting physical examinations, diagnosing and treating common illnesses, and prescribing medication. This role requires a strong knowledge of medical practices and procedures, as well as the ability to effectively communicate with patients and other healthcare professionals.
Job Overview:
As an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to patients with acute and complex medical conditions. Working closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, you will assess, diagnose, and treat patients in various acute care settings, including emergency departments, intensive care units, and specialty clinics.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including physical examinations and medical histories.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory tests and imaging studies.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Prescribe medications and therapies within the scope of practice.
- Perform invasive procedures, such as inserting central lines and performing bedside procedures.
- Monitor patients' progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
- Provide patient education and counseling on disease management, treatment options, and preventive care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to ethical, legal, and regulatory standards of practice.

Qualifications
- Certified Nurse Practitioner with a valid license
- Current national certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
