Position Responsibilities:
• The Electronics Technician will provide technical support, system testing, inspections and assessments to assess, inspect, and correct system faults in Integrated Shipboard Network System (ISNS) (AN/USQ-153V(X) and other C2I systems/equipment.
• Identify and correct anomalies associated with installation, operation, maintenance, and connectivity problems.
• Provide onboard maintenance training to ship's force technicians in the operation, repair, maintenance and logistics support of ISNS.
• Perform functional checks and program review support ISNS and associated equipment.
• Provide scheduling, coordination and documentation (including TAAS or current system in use) of the MARMC technical assistance and assessment support process
Position Requirements:
• US Citizen.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an Active Secret Clearance; candidates currently possessing an Active Secret Security Clearance are preferred
• 5 years of hands-on experience in the troubleshooting, assessment and repair of the following systems
Experience shall have been gained within the last 3 years:
• AN/USQ-153 ISNS A(V)X; or
• AN/USQ-153 ISNS B(V)X; or
• AN/USQ-153 ISNS C(V)X; or
• AN/USQ-153 ISNS D(V)X;
• COMPOSE 3.5
• COMPOSE 4.0
• AN/UYQ-96 Computer Network Defense - CND
• AN/USQ-208 Consolidated Afloat Network and Enterprise Services - CANES
• Experience in the troubleshooting, repair and assessment on the following systems/equipment:
• Fiber Attached Storage (FAS)
• EMC Storage/Backup Solution
• Operation Rolling Tide (ORT)
• Windows Server Update Service (WSUS)
• AN/UYQ-96 Computer Network Defense/Operating System Environment (CND/OSE)
• Host Based Security System (HBSS)
• Naval Tactical Command Support System (NTCSS)
• Combined Enterprise Regional Exchange Information System (CENTRIX)
• VMWARE 3.5/4.0
• EMC Storage Device
• IBM Blade Centers
• Crystal Servers
• Alcatel 7700/6850/9700 Switches
• Special electronic repair skills / certifications such as basic soldering, wire-wrap, connectorization, fiber optics, etc., preferred.
• Experience gained at a Mobile Technical Unit (MOTU), Fleet Technical Support Center (FTSC) or Regional Maintenance Center (RMC), preferred
