Job Summary
  • The primary responsibility of the Quality Specialist is to ensure that the patient prior authorization process is coordinated and managed in an efficient and timely manner for the clinics.
  • The Quality Specialist is responsible for development of policies regarding management of the patient prior authorization process, overseeing compliance with such policies, monitoring industry changes and best practices to ensure policy adaptation using the best judgment of Quality Specialist, processing prior authorization requests with the patient's primary insurance or work comp, if necessary; gathering the necessary insurance information; requesting record transfers and insurance forms; assisting patients with billing questions and/or referring the patients to the appropriate billers as a consultant to the patients.

Education and/or Experience
  • Clinical or insurance background preferred. Must have knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Windows and Outlook.

Licensure/Certification/Registration
  • MN Registered Nurse license required upon hire.

Work Schedule
  • Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm; 24hrs/2wks (hours will be added to current employee's FTE)
