Our client is in need of a Registered Nurse to be a Unit Manager in the Wilmington, MA area


Job Details:

Title: Registered Nurse Unit Manager (on-site)

Length of Engagement: Contingency | Open

Rate: Depends on Experience


The RN Unit Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing nursing operations, ensuring quality resident care, managing staff, and maintaining regulatory compliance within the long-term care facility.



Nursing Staff Management:

  • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs)
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
  • Ensure staff compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels and schedule coverage.


Clinical Oversight:

  • Oversee resident care and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care planning meetings.
  • Conduct resident assessments and develop care plans.
  • Monitor and ensure proper documentation of resident care.


Administrative Duties:

  • Manage unit operations and coordinate daily activities.
  • Maintain accurate resident records and reports.
  • Ensure proper inventory and supply levels.
  • Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Current RN license in the state of practice
  • 3-5 years of long-term care nursing experience
  • Prior supervisory or management experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
