Qualifications:

Required:

* Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
* 1- 2 years RN experience in specialty
* Completion of all orientation requirements by Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center
* Successful completion of all Orientation programs required by Cooperman Barnabas Medical

Certifications and Licenses Required:

* Current New Jersey RN Licensure
* Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
* NRP certification
* Phlebotomy certified

Scheduling Requirements:

* Per Diem
* Day shift
* 2 12.5 hour shifts per month, both shifts on weekend
* 1 12.5 hour Summer Holiday (Easter, July 4th, Labor Day)
* 1 12.5 hour Winter Holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year s)

Essential Functions:

Organize and administers individualized age specific professional care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital in support of medical care. Supports philosophy, objectives and the mission and vision of Saint Barnabas Medical Center and the Department of Nursing. Practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, Department of Health Regulations, JCAHO requirements and other regulatory agencies. Participates in patient teaching and discharge planning. Participates in Unit Performance Improvement evaluation activities.
