Key ResponsibilitiesOversees all aspects of the purchasing function, including vendor selection, pricing, and termsWorks closely with staff on evaluating new suppliers, vendors or sub-contractorsContinual collaboration with internal stakeholders regarding supply levels and needsCollaborate with Quality Assurance in development/maintenance of supplier quality programCompiles, analyzes and tracks metrics relating to cost savings, price structures as well as quality and delivery performance of suppliers and sub-contractorsSupervise, evaluate and coach direct reportsBuild and maintain positive relationships with suppliersRetain detailed records on procurement activity, materials quantity, specifications etc.Assist in forecasting to plan future ordersEnsuring successful delivery of materialsContinual communication with manufacturing and development personnel regarding supply levelsResolves conflicts concerning materials or services at the department and vendor levelsWorks closely with staff on evaluating new suppliers, vendors or sub-contractorsSolicits RFQ's annually to ensure most competitive costs are achieved and sets up annual contracts Assists internal customers in the evaluation of goods and services, as needed

Our track record as a trusted service provider with experience across varied technologies makes us a partner of choice for innovators and generic companies worldwide.Education Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in business management, logistics, finance, or related fieldWork Experience:5+ years’ purchasing experience within manufacturing or other industrial environment, pharmaceutical manufacturing strongly preferred3+ years’ working in leadership capacity Functional or Technical Skills:High level of proficiency working within supply chain and inventory management systemsUnderstanding of forecasting and budgetingWorking knowledge of MRP systems, preferably SAPProficiency operating Microsoft Office applicationsDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writingCapacity to negotiate, analyze data, and function independentlyFull timePosting Date: 2024-05-02
