This role is responsible to assist the government customer in policy development of Digital Engineering processes for the Integrated Nuclear Weapons Security System INWSS, directly supporting the Program Manager
Job Purpose: The INWSS program office Digital Engineer is responsible for policy and process for the engineering and architecture support on digital modernization implementation effort across the program
The Senior Engineer I will assist with the overall adoption of enterprise systems to expand the competitive space in the digital arena
The program is comprised of various technical and programmatic elements across multiple government and contractor organizations
The Senior Engineer I role is to assist a cross-functional team to develop new guidance and assess existing guidance to shape the way forward for Digital Engineering / Model Based Systems Engineering and provide Subject Matter Expertise to mature the program from legacy engineering approaches to a digital cloud-based approach
Description: The INWSS Senior Engineer I is a critical position on the Nuclear Weapons System (NWS) Program who maintains overall program awareness and can step in as needed to enable the team to be successful
The tasking for the role is often broad and requires an ability to take an understanding of the large program objectives and then to develop and execute a plan to support the program objectives
Key focus areas include prioritization of activity, schedule management / tracking, issue resolution, process development / implementation, team development / coaching, risk mitigation, critical review of plans and documentation, as well as being able to focus on critical areas as needed
This work will be performed on the customer’s site 50% of the time with other work performed at remote locations
Above all, this role demands technical expertise in MagicDraw with the Cameo plug-in, and the ability to quickly assimilate with a high functioning, fast moving team and figure out how to best contribute with minimal direction
Additionally, a strong ability to interact with external stake holders such as the Government Program Office and other support contractors
Excellent communication skills and an adaptable attitude to a changing landscape are a must
This position will require the ability to work in a classified environment at the TS level
Key Duties: Provide engineering and architecture support on digital modernization implementation effort through cloud, and on-premise systems.
Assist with the overall adaptation of existing policies and procedures applicable to the digital arena.
Provide data strategy, processes and governance expertise for data analytics, modelling, and simulation efforts to allow sharing, collaboration, and interoperability of INWSS architecture data among existing cloud based digital environments for SSP & Industry / Academic mission partners in unclassified and classified environments.

Understanding and ability to develop and implement content control of the model
Ability to perform all aspects of Digital Engineering/MBSE using typical tools such as MagicDraw and simulation tools
Ability to develop and implement processes and best practices across the INWSS Program
Preferred candidates will have an active TS clearance on day one.
Specific Skills/Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering Discipline, Master’s preferred in applicable area, Systems Engineering degree preferred
10+ years of Digital Engineering (MBSE) experience
Expert user of MagicDraw software
Must have an active DoD Top Secret Clearance to start, with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance.
