Job Summary:

This position will provide clinical care for patients with general neurological disorders in a satellite hospital in Colorado Springs. The position will include clinical, service, and limited teaching and research responsibilities. Clinical responsibilities include participation in outpatient clinic and inpatient service.

Key Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

* Outpatient evaluation of children with Neurological Disorders.
* Inpatient consults for the NICU, PICU and floor patients.
* Inpatient call coverage for consults and outpatient phone call coverage.
* Ongoing care for neurology patients in clinic, telemedicine and by phone.
* Communication and follow up with referring providers.
* Collaboration of patient care with staff neurologists as appropriate.
* Teaching clinical care concepts to NPs, PAs, residents, and RNs.
* Possible outreach activities and consults.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

This is an open rank position and could be categorized as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor based on experience and qualifications as indicated below:

Assistant Professor

* 0 - 4 years of experience as an attending physician (assistant professor)
* Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
* Board Eligibility in Neurology with a Special Competence in Child Neurology.

Associate Professor

* 4 - 6 years of experience as an attending physician and academic qualifications to fulfill requirements of associate professor rank
* Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
* Board Eligibility in Neurology with a Special Competence in Child Neurology.

Professor

* 6 - 8 years of experience as an attending physician and academic qualifications to fulfill requirements of professor rank
* Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
* Board Eligibility in Neurology with a Special Competence in Child Neurology.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Board Certified in Neurology with a Special Competence in Child Neurology.
* Willing to collaborate with the medical team to provide the highest quality of care to patients and their families.
* Ability to diagnose and treat patients with neurological diagnoses.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* Willing to collaborate with the medical team to provide the highest quality of care to patients and their families.

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

Assistant Professor: $203,000 - $225,000

Associate Professor: $225,000 - $255,000

Professor: $248,000 - $315,000

The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
